When did your love of STEM begin?

I had a role model, my uncle, who was studying software engineering. He kick-started my career by accidently lending me a book on programming. I loved it and knew I was getting into STEM from a very young age.

What did you love most about study in your field of STEM?

For me it's the ability to turn something that is in my head into a product or a feature the whole world can use that leaves it in a better place than it was before. That plus the "puzzle" like problem solving makes me love the line of work.

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in STEM?

Have a vision for where you want to be in five years and work for it. Sometimes we get too caught up in the day to day details and forget about longer term goals. I think this is especially true for students!!
