When did your love of STEM begin?

When I finally realized how much STEM actually explains all the stuff happening around us, I was like "whoa!" It's everywhere, and the more I learned about it, the more I loved it.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

One of the coolest things about working in the STEM field is that you get to be a part of the forefront of innovation and discovery. You don't have to be the one making the groundbreaking advancements all by yourself - even being a small part of the team that contributes to a major breakthrough can be incredibly rewarding. It's an amazing feeling to know that your work is helping someone achieve truly great things.

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in STEM?

Don’t quit if it gets hard! Just remember how you’ll be able to satisfy your curiosity once you have the knowledge you want/need.

“This is when I performed with one of my best friends in Grade 10

on the opening night for an event hosted by my school.”
