When did your love of STEM begin?

I have always loved Science and STEM, but I would say that it really began in high school for me when I began to relate what I was learning in my classes to my personal life. Science and STEM is all around us. It can be used to explain so many phenomenon. It's so wondrous.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

STEM is the wave of the future in my opinion. What's exciting about working in this field is that I feel like I am part of this big wave. It's exciting to see what my students come up with and create. These could be the next big inventions!

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

You may face a lot of adversity, especially being a woman of colour in STEM. But don't let that stop you. You are capable of so much including being a role model to others who are just like you. So keep at it.
