Meet Luisa Fernanda Dovalina

Luisa, making a Quiche during my cook lessons pretending she’s at Masterchef.

Luisa, currently serves as an Accounting Supervisor at Linamar Light Metals Mexico. She holds a bachelor's degree in Tax Administration from Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila, earned in 2011.

When she's not delving into the intricacies of accounting, Luisa indulges her passion for travel, relishing in the opportunity to explore new cultures and perspectives. Additionally, she enjoys experimenting with cooking, despite her modest self-assessment of her culinary skills.

A fun fact about Luisa is her ability to predict the future, a skill she attributes to analytics and mathematics, although some may perceive it as magic.

When did your love of STEM begin?

Since I was a little girl, my mom inspired me by raising 3 strong girls, I admire that she was a hardworking lady and she never gave up, even when the times sometimes where rough.

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

That there is no other way, than keep learning, even when you feel like you were wrong, it is to learn a new lesson and that makes you wiser and stronger to help your peers.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Be confident about who you are and the dreams you want to achieve. You have the power to change, grow and create anything you want.
