When did your love of STEM begin?

I developed a love of numbers/math at an early age. I had a grade 6 teacher who would give me math problems from the grade 9 textbook. I developed a love of science in Jr. High. We had an excellent Science teacher. Further developed a love of both Math and Science in High School

What is the best part about working in the field of STEM?

It’s very interesting. There are always new things being developed. Getting to see things I design to be brought to life.

What advice would you give young women interested in a career in STEM?

Don't be afraid to blaze your own trail. It’s often required in a male-dominated field. Be yourself. Be confident in your skills and knowledge.
